Cable cutting

HV and LV cable used in electricity networks has traditionally been delivered to site in 250 to 500m lengths on huge wooden cable drums. This approach ties up cash flow for contractors, can lead to expensive wastage, and provides a lucrative target for thieves.

Utility Power Systems (UPS) has recently invested in specialist cable cutting equipment and associated training for operatives. It is now able to offer customers a ‘cut to length’ cable service. This means the cable can go straight in the ground when it arrives on site: less disruption, elimination of storage security concerns, improved cash flow.

Why not trial the cable cutting service today? UPS is running a ‘First cut is the cheapest’ promotion which saves contractors 50% off the cutting fee on their first order.
