Fusion Provida has joined forces with Electrosteel, the Indian manufacturer of ductile iron pipe and fittings, and become their main distributor for sales to contractors across England and Wales. Electrosteel will continue to service utility framework contracts and framework contractors.
Andrew Radford, Managing Director of Electrosteel, has high hopes for the new relationship: ‘Electrosteel has been very successful over the past five years in winning major long-term framework contracts with water utilities across the United Kingdom. My aim is to retain and grow these contracts by providing market-leading customer service. The partnership with Fusion Provida releases sales, administration and technical resources to help me achieve this.’
A new ductile iron direct sales team has been formed within Fusion Provida, led by Commercial Manager, Chris Watkinson. ‘I know it may appear rather clichéd, but there are genuine and substantial synergies for both Electrosteel and Fusion Provida. From May 1st, Electrosteel will transfer all one-off sales enquiries it receives to the Fusion Provida national sales office. My team will also be contacting and visiting current and potential ductile iron customers across England and Wales.
Fusion Provida has always sold ductile iron, and the partnership with Electrosteel will provide a focus to generate additional sales in the future. Although our initial target is to double sales in the first twelve month period, early indications are that we’ll beat this goal by some distance.
The most important message for customers is that, in addition to the Electrosteel range of pipe and fittings, Fusion Provida has a comprehensive portfolio of ancillary products such as valves, hydrants, couplers, adaptors, marker tapes, chamber sections, and municipal ironworks.
