FUSION PROVIDA WINS E.ON MULTI-UTILITY CONTRACT

Fusion Provida has won a major contract to supply Energy Services, a business division of E.ON, with products for multi-utility connections. The contract covers a wide variety of products including gas and water fittings, PE pipe and ancillary components. It is estimated that the contract could be worth up to £2mn per annum.

Neal Lambert and Chris Watkinson led the Fusion Provida bid team. Lambert believes Fusion Provida’s technical product knowledge across gas, water and electricity connections was fundamental to the successful bid: “E.ON was keen for the successful bidder to manage the specification process to ensure compliance with local utility requirements. Fusion Provida already provides this service to several of the leading multi-utility contractors. I believe E.ON was also impressed with our service package and delivery platform, our ability to maintain continuity of supply, and the detailed reporting facilities which allow them to maintain tight budgetary and operational control.”

The E.ON procurement team was led by Olivia Watson: “Having visited the site in Chesterfield, my technical colleagues and I were convinced that Fusion Provida was capable of providing product into Energy Services in a timely and professional manner. We were particularly impressed with the complexity of the manufacturing facilities and the quality systems that were evidently in place.

Fusion’s tender submission provided competitive prices, a delivery schedule that met our criteria, and excellent management information systems which we are keen to adopt.”

The multi-utility win builds on the success of Meter Provida, another Fusion Group company, which has won a two year extension to its contract to supply Energy Services with all its gas metering requirements
